The Beach!

For many of us, that's really what it's all about...one of the most beautiful and pristine beaches on the island. Some visitors get seduced by the tourist trappings, and forget that the beach holds much of the magic of the islands. Well, that's hard to do here, because the beach is all around you, and it's so accessible that you can have a nice beach walk while you're  waiting for someone to dry their hair!

The water is safe, with nice surf and is great for all types of in-the-water activities. The beach is sandy all the way up and down the coast, so there are no rocks to worry about. Most of the year, the water is warm enough for extended swimming, and it's always great for a barefoot walk. Our neighborhood is flanked by state parks, with an undeveloped military reserve just to the north, meaning that you can literally walk for miles without being in someone's back yard...
